Thy Form and Thee
(An Apology)
Did I care for you my love?
Or was your form my sole desire?
Did I hold you close enough, my dear?
And did you feel my heart of fire?

Was my touch not meant for you, my love?
Was I selfish in my passion?
And did you know my thoughts, my dear?
Were my feelings not your fashion?

It seems you weren't fulfilled, my love.
Your love for me was fading.
And so we went our ways, my dear.
There was no use in my waiting.

I hope you understand, my love.
I don't know how you feel.
But I guarantee with all my heart;
My love for you is real.
